Alan Jackson will be transplanting some bluegrass in New York City this fall.
The country star will present a special showcase of his upcoming studio effort, The Bluegrass Album, at Carnegie Hall. The show is set for October 28th - a month after the disc hits stores.
Jackson debuted The Bluegrass Album with a special concert in Nashville on Tuesday. But the night didn't end on a pleasant note for the singer's family. Nashville's WSMV-TV says Alan's 20-year-old Alexandra Jane was picked up by police early Wednesday morning on charges of underage consumption, assault and resisting arrest. She was released on bail a few hours later. Ali is due to appear in court on September 23rd.
A police affidavit says Ali was a passenger in a car that was pulled over for tailgating and speeding. She reportedly got out of the car during the traffic stop, started making demands, and hit an officer in the chest. She allegedly hit the officer again in an attempt to get away when she learned she was being arrested.
Police determined that Ali had been drinking. They also say she dropped her famous father's name, saying Alan would do anything to get her off the hook.
