Recession Proof voted as Colorado's Finest Beer

Recession Proof voted as Colorado's Finest Beer

In a tight competition, "Recession Proof," brewed by Black Bottle Brewing of Fort Collins, Colorado, was voted "Colorado's Finest Beer" by Radio 94.9 listeners! The porter style beer defeated Bew Belgium's Fat Tire Amber Ale in the final day of voting.

Black Bottle Brewery calls themselves "a fancy beer bar/brewpub in Fort Collins." Located at the southwest corner of College and Prospect, the brewery offers a selection of beers they have brewed, as well as a variety of specialty bottled beers, wines and meads. The brewery prides itself on the use of radical ingredients, brewing styles, and techniques. Black Bottle Brewery beers are available at their pub and other locations around Fort Collins and Loveland.

Black Bottle Brewery describes Recession Proof as "a recession strong, ass-kicking Porter for the people." The beer has a 6.5% A.B.V. and measures in at 45 IBU.

(IBU stands for International Bitterness Units. The scale provides a measure of the bitterness of beer, which is provided by the hops used during brewing.)
